Yale International Relations Leadership Institute
The Yale International Relations Association (YIRA) is hosting the 2020 Yale International Relations Leadership Institute (YIRLI)! YIRLI is an intensive and exhilarating 9-day summer institute hosted at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Our students come from all over the world to join us at Yale and explore issues in international relations, enhance their leadership capacity, improve their public speaking skills, make friends, receive mentorship, and ideate upon the world’s most pressing issues through an entrepreneurial lens. Students will improve their Model United Nations and debating skills through workshops and simulations led by Yale students from the Yale International Relations Association, spend a day at United Nations Headquarters, explore the plethora of resources and opportunities available at Yale, and much more.
YIRLI 2020 will be held from August 1st-9th, 2020. We invite you to learn, innovate, and lead with us this summer. Let's grow together. Apply here! Our program is operating with rolling admissions, meaning that students can anticipate hearing back from YIRLI within 20 days of submitting all application materials. Although our application deadline is May 1st, we encourage all applicants to submit their materials as early as their materials are prepared, as we anticipate a high number of qualified applicants for a limited number of spots.
The cost of YIRLI 2020 is $1,700 for boarding (which includes tuition, food, housing, and all program activities) and $1,300 for non-residential students. Financial aid is available, which one can apply for using this application. Please note that our financial aid can only cover the cost of tuition; we are not able to help with travel costs. High school students entering 9th-12th grades (between the ages of 13-17) in Fall 2020 are eligible to apply. There is a $20.00 Application Fee to apply for this program.
Our team is committed to working closely with applicants to address their individual situations due to this outbreak, and we encourage you to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns.
